'She does not "play" with toys, she engages in tactile experiences': Mom forbids daughter from attending 6-year-old's birthday party because of her insane gift wish list

Kids are usually the easiest to buy gifts for. But not this kid.

People generally appreciate it when you tell them what you want as a gift. It's difficult to know exactly what people want, and you want to give them something that they will actually use. So it's a nice thing to give a little guidance to the people getting you a gift. Maybe you make a list of ideas and pass it around. Or if you're the person in this story, you make a whole website. If you ask me, that's taking it a bit too far. Especially if you wrote what these people wrote on their child's birthday wish list. You couldn't ask for a more pretentious wish list, or any way to describe what a child wants. It's actually really fun to read.

If you had someone like this in your life, you'd probably want to avoid them at all costs. This is not the type of person you want your child to grow up around. But as much as you want to avoid bad influences in a child's life, you also probably want your child to be a good influence on someone else's. Ever think about it that way? You would hate for some poor child to be denied the influence of your perfect child. It's how you can help make a difference in the world. That's the quandary that one mother found herself in after receiving one of the weirdest birthday party invitations she had ever received.
